Our Journey: How We Started a Component-Level MacBook and Electronics Repair Business

It all started with a passion for technology and a knack for problem-solving.

Years ago, like many tech enthusiasts, we found ourselves constantly tinkering with devices—whether it was upgrading our own computers, fixing friends' laptops, or troubleshooting electronics that seemed impossible to repair.

What began as a hobby soon revealed a major gap in the repair industry: most shops were only offering basic part replacements or surface-level fixes, leaving customers with costly alternatives like buying new devices or dealing with major inconveniences.

We realized that component-level repairs—where we diagnose and fix issues at the circuit or chip level—could save people both time and money.

This approach would not only extend the life of devices but also reduce electronic waste. Armed with this insight and a deep understanding of how electronics work from the inside out, we set out to launch our component-level MacBook and electronics repair business.
In the beginning, it wasn’t easy.
Repairing electronics at the component level requires precision, expertise, and a keen eye for detail.

We invested in advanced diagnostic tools, soldering equipment, and continuous learning, keeping up with the latest technology trends and repair techniques. As word spread about our ability to repair even the most complicated issues that others couldn't, we began to see a steady stream of clients—people who had almost given up on their devices.

From logic board failures to intricate soldering jobs, we took pride in restoring devices to full working order.

What drives us every day is the challenge of solving complex problems and the satisfaction of giving customers their beloved devices back in working condition.

Today, our business has grown, serving a wide range of clients who trust us with their MacBooks, Laptops, Smartphones, and other electronics. But despite our growth, we remain true to our roots: providing affordable, reliable, and expert repairs that go beyond surface fixes.

We’re passionate about what we do and dedicated to making sure every device we repair is given the best possible care, right down to the smallest component.

This is how we started—and how we continue to thrive. Every repair tells a story, and we’re honored to be a part of each one.

No Outsourcing

When you come to us with the problem, we are able to help you on the spot, unlike other services.

Most companies have to outsource MacBook component-level motherboard repair because they don't know how to do it or they don't have the right tools. This causes long delays and unexpected surprises.

We do all our repairs in-house, no outsourcing, so you wont have to wait long to get your device fixed.
no outsourcing

Our repair will only cost you a fraction of the amount Apple charged you...

think different
At CompFix, "We Think Different" means we focus on precise, component-level repairs instead of costly part replacements. This approach saves you time, money, and preserves your data, offering personalized solutions that extend the life of your device.

Our approach to repair is fundamentally different from Apple's, we try to find the cause of the malfunction and repair the motherboard at the component level and not just simply replace the entire board as Apple does.

Unlike the other repair shops that don't do the component level repair and outsource it, we do this type of repair on-site so we save your time.

Our experienced computer technicians will be able to help you with issues that you might ever bump into! We offer a Free Estimate to all RETAIL CUSTOMERS (except other repair shops).

With our component-level repair services, we address the specific issue on the motherboard, saving you time, preserving your data, and costing only a fraction of what Apple would charge.

We offer a “NO FIX, NO FEE” component-level motherboard repair service, backed by a 90-day guarantee on our work.

Our spare parts are purchased from well-known suppliers. Having only one part means that if it is defective, your repair is delayed by weeks.

In most cases, we have 3-7 days to complete the work, because we have almost all the parts we need in stock, ready to go at any time.

If you go through Apple for repairs, they may charge anywhere from $800 to $1600 by replacing the entire motherboard, even when the issue can be fixed by repairing individual components.

This approach not only drives up costs but can also result in longer wait times and potential data loss, especially if your hard drive is soldered.
